How are EVs and hybrids charged and serviced?
Vehicles are returned to RYDA at 80%+ charge for EVs (or full fuel for hybrids). Members can opt in to home-delivered Level 2 charging during longer bookings.
Standard EV handover
Pure EVs (Porsche Taycan, Lucid Air Sapphire, Maserati GranTurismo Folgore) are delivered at 80–100% state of charge, prepped to the same standards as ICE vehicles. Members are asked to return them at 60% or higher to support the next member's experience.
Hybrids
Plug-in hybrids (Ferrari 296 GTB, McLaren Artura, Aston Valhalla) are delivered with a full battery and full fuel tank. Members can plug in at home overnight at any J1772 outlet, no special station required.
Charging during longer bookings
- RYDA can install a temporary Level 2 charger at your residence for stays of 7+ days. Removed at the end of the booking.
- Public DC fast charging (Electrify America, EVgo) is paid via the vehicle's onboard credentials, no separate account needed.
- Tesla Superchargers are available on most modern EVs via NACS adapter (provided in the trunk).
EV-specific service
Battery health checks, software updates, and high-voltage component inspections happen on a separate annual schedule from the regular maintenance cycle. All performed at the manufacturer dealer.
