What if there's a hurricane during my booking?

If a NOAA-named storm tracks toward the operating market, RYDA recalls vehicles to indoor storage and issues full refunds for affected bookings. Members are not charged.

Hurricane protocol

Once NOAA issues a hurricane watch or warning for the operating market, RYDA Operations recalls all currently-booked vehicles to climate-controlled indoor storage. Pickup arrangements happen through Service, typically a transport driver picks up the vehicle from your location.

Refunds and rebooking

  • Bookings during the storm window get full refund: days return to your annual budget, and you're not charged for any prep or delivery.
  • Rebooking priority post-storm: members affected by the recall get first-look on the rebooked dates within the same season.
  • If your home is in the storm path and you need to evacuate, the vehicle still has to be returned. We coordinate.

Other weather

Standard rain, snow, hail are at member discretion, drive carefully or return early if conditions deteriorate. Hail damage during a booking is comprehensive coverage (low deductible). Salt-belt winter driving is allowed but creates extra detail and inspection cost on return.
