How to file a claim, step by step

Call RYDA Service first (one number, 24/7). Photograph everything. Don't admit fault. We file with the carrier within 24 hours and manage the adjuster.

Step 1, Get safe and call us

First priority: medical help if anyone's hurt. Second: move the vehicle out of traffic if it's safe. Third: call the RYDA Service line (in your dashboard, on your insurance card, in this help center). One number, 24/7, real human.

Step 2, Document

Photograph the vehicle, the other vehicle if applicable, the scene, license plates, and any visible damage. Get the other party's name, phone, license, and insurance info. If police respond, get the report number.

Step 3, We file

RYDA opens the claim with the insurance carrier within 24 hours. We coordinate the adjuster, repair shop, and rental coverage. You don't have to talk to anyone unless we ask you to.

Step 4, Resolution

For at-fault collisions, your deductible is charged. For not-at-fault, no deductible. Repair takes whatever it takes, exotic parts have lead times.

Don't admit fault at the scene. Don't sign anything from the other party's insurance. Let the carriers and adjusters work it out, that's what insurance is for.
